A Simple Mail-In Repair Process

Our process is designed to keep your repair organized from the time you contact us until your Mac is shipped back to you.

1

Submit Your Repair Request

Use our contact form and tell us your Mac model number, the symptoms, whether liquid damage occurred, and any previous repair attempts.

2

Receive Your Job ID

We review the information and contact you with a Job ID plus shipping instructions. Please do not ship the computer until you receive these details.

3

Pack and Ship Your Mac

Pack the computer securely in a strong box with protective cushioning. Include your Job ID inside the package so we can match the shipment to your repair request.

4

Diagnosis and Exact Estimate

After the computer arrives, we diagnose the fault and provide the repair cost and expected turnaround time before chargeable work begins.

5

You Approve the Repair

We proceed only after you approve the estimate. If you decide not to continue, we arrange return shipment according to the applicable shipping terms.

6

Repair, Testing and Return

After repair, the Mac is tested and then securely packaged for return shipment. Payment is completed before the repaired computer is shipped back.

Specialized Mac Repairs From Anywhere in Canada

Mail-in service is especially useful when local shops cannot perform advanced board-level diagnostics or when replacing the entire logic board would be unnecessarily expensive.

Logic Board Repair

Component-level diagnostics and repair for failed circuits and board-level faults whenever practical.

Liquid Damage Repair

Inspection, cleaning, corrosion assessment and component-level repair for qualifying liquid-damaged Macs.

No Power / Not Charging

Diagnostics for Macs that do not turn on, do not charge, shut down unexpectedly or show charging-port related symptoms.

MacBook Screen Repair

Display replacement for cracked, damaged, flickering or non-working MacBook screens.

Battery / Keyboard / Trackpad

Replacement and repair for common MacBook input and power-related hardware problems.

Data Recovery

Assessment for data-recovery cases where a hardware or logic-board problem is preventing normal access to the Mac.

How to Prepare Your Mac

Important: What to Send — and What Not to Send

Please send the complete Mac computer. Do not send only the logic board unless we specifically ask you to do so. Some faults can involve components outside the logic board, so having the complete computer allows us to diagnose the root cause and fully test the repair before return.

Please do not send an iMac. iMac computers are large, heavy and more vulnerable to shipping damage, which can make mail-in service impractical. Contact us first if you need iMac repair so we can discuss the most suitable option.

Please do not send your MacBook charger or power adapter. We keep chargers and professional power-testing equipment for MacBook models in our Edmonton workshop. If we need your charger for a specific diagnostic reason, we will ask you to include it.

Please do not use your original Apple retail box for shipping. Keep your original Apple box at home. Because we receive multiple computers, we cannot safely store and track customers’ original retail packaging throughout the repair process. Use a sturdy shipping box with adequate protective material instead.

  • Back up your data if the Mac is still usable and a backup is possible.
  • Send the complete MacBook, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro or Mac mini unless we specifically instruct you otherwise.
  • Do not disassemble the Mac or remove the logic board before shipping unless we specifically request it.
  • Do not include the charger, power adapter, laptop bag, sleeve, USB devices, external drives, SD cards or other accessories unless we specifically ask for them.
  • Do not ship the Mac in its original Apple retail box. Use a separate sturdy shipping box with enough protective material so the computer cannot move freely inside.
  • Write your Job ID clearly on a sheet inside the package. Do not rely only on notes written on the outside of the box.
  • Use a shipping service with tracking. Shipping insurance is recommended for the replacement value of the computer.

Repair Assessment

Every Mac we receive undergoes a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation before any repair work begins. We successfully repair many complex hardware issues, including component-level logic board faults. However, in some cases, a repair may not be technically feasible, economically practical, or may not meet our quality and reliability standards.

Our commitment is to provide honest, transparent advice. If we determine that a dependable, long-term repair cannot be achieved, we will explain our findings and discuss the available options with you before any repair work is performed.

We will never carry out chargeable repair work without your approval.

If you decide not to proceed with the repair after receiving our estimate, or if we determine that the device cannot be repaired, you are responsible for arranging return shipping. You may either:

  • Provide a prepaid return shipping label, or
  • Pay the applicable return shipping charges before your device is returned.

No repair charges apply if no repair is performed. However, return shipping costs remain the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed in writing.
