2. Privacy Laws
As an Alberta private-sector business, our personal-information practices are intended to comply with Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) may also apply to certain interprovincial or federally regulated aspects of commercial activity.
This policy describes our privacy practices in clear language. Applicable privacy legislation governs if there is any inconsistency between this policy and the law.
3. Personal Information We May Collect
- Name, telephone number, mailing or shipping address, and email address when you provide them.
- Information you submit through our contact form or provide by telephone, text message or other communications.
- Mac model, serial number, device condition, reported problem, repair history, diagnostic findings and service records.
- Shipping, pickup, invoicing, payment-status and transaction information reasonably required to provide service.

4. Customer Devices and Data
Mac computers submitted for repair or data recovery can contain private or sensitive information. We do not intentionally inspect personal files unless access is reasonably necessary to diagnose the reported problem, perform an authorized repair or data recovery service, verify functionality, or complete a specific customer request.
Customers should back up important data before service whenever possible. Login credentials should be provided only when reasonably necessary for the requested work. Access to a customer's device or data is limited to what is reasonably required to perform the authorized service.
Important: This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information; it does not guarantee preservation of data stored on a customer device. Please review our Customer Data & Data-Loss Disclaimer before submitting equipment for service.

We do not require consent for collection, use or disclosure beyond what is reasonably necessary to provide the requested product or service, except where permitted or required by law. Consent may be withdrawn subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Withdrawal may affect our ability to continue a requested service.
7. Disclosure and Service Providers
We may provide limited personal information to service providers when reasonably necessary to operate our business or complete a requested service. Examples can include website hosting, communications, shipping or courier services, payment processing, accounting, security or other technical services. We limit disclosure to information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
We may also disclose information where permitted or required by law, including valid legal process, fraud or security investigations, protection of legal rights, or emergencies.

Our website may use essential cookies, server logs and similar technologies for website operation, security and performance. If optional analytics or other non-essential tracking technologies are used, we will provide information and choices where required by applicable law.
Most browsers allow you to control cookies. Disabling some cookies may affect website functionality.
10. Security Safeguards
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of personal information in our custody or control. Safeguards may include access restrictions, password protection, secure website connections, account and device security, and limiting access to customer information to legitimate business purposes.
No electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. If a privacy or security incident occurs, we will assess and respond to it in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
11. Retention and Secure Disposal
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, warranty and service administration, or applicable legal, tax, accounting, insurance, security or dispute-resolution requirements. When information is no longer reasonably required, we take appropriate steps to securely delete, destroy or anonymize it.
Recovered customer data is retained only as reasonably necessary to complete the authorized data recovery and return or transfer the recovered information, subject to operational, legal or agreed service requirements.

You may request access to personal information we hold about you and ask that inaccurate or incomplete information be corrected, subject to exceptions in applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before responding to an access or correction request.
13. Service Providers Outside Canada
Some website, communications, cloud, security, payment or other service providers may process or store information outside Canada. Information processed in another country may be subject to that country's laws and lawful access requirements. Where applicable, we remain responsible for personal information under our control and use reasonable measures appropriate to the circumstances when engaging service providers.
14. External Websites
Our website may link to independent third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or content. Review the privacy policy of a third-party website before providing personal information to it.
