Warranty & Repair Policies

We believe repair policies should be clear before work begins. This page explains our 3-month repair warranty, screen policy, estimates, approvals, turnaround, data responsibility and mail-in conditions.

Important — Back Up Your Data

Edmonton Apple Mac & iMac Repair Specialist IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSS OF DATA, SOFTWARE, APPLICATIONS, SETTINGS, PASSWORDS OR PERSONAL FILES THAT MAY OCCUR BEFORE, DURING OR AFTER THE REPAIR PROCESS, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.

If your Mac is accessible, make a current backup before service. If data recovery is your highest priority, tell us before repair work begins.

3-Month Warranty on the Issue We Repaired

Eligible repairs include a 3-month warranty covering the specific issue or component repaired by us. The warranty period begins on the date the repair is completed.

If the same repair-related problem returns during the warranty period under normal use, contact us promptly. We will inspect the Mac and determine whether the problem is related to the original covered repair.

What Is Covered

The specific repaired issue and our workmanship, where the returning fault is directly related to the original repair.

What Is Not Covered

Unrelated faults, new accidental or liquid damage, misuse, impact, pressure damage, or problems caused by later repair or modification by another party.

Important: Our repair warranty covers the issue we solved; it is not a warranty on every component in the entire Mac.

Screen Replacement Policy

Every replacement display is carefully inspected, professionally installed and fully tested before your Mac is returned.

Because MacBook display assemblies are extremely fragile and can be damaged by pressure, impact, twisting, liquid exposure or handling after service, screen replacements are excluded from our voluntary 3-month repair warranty and are provided without an additional screen guarantee after collection or delivery.

This policy does not limit any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

Free Estimate & Repair Approval

We provide a free estimate before chargeable repair work begins. If another issue is discovered or the repair scope changes, we will contact you first.

We will never perform additional chargeable repair work without your approval.

Repair Assessment

Every Mac undergoes a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation before repair work begins. We successfully repair many complex hardware issues, including component-level logic board faults. However, in some cases a repair may not be technically feasible, economically practical or may not meet our quality and reliability standards.

If we determine that a dependable, long-term repair cannot be achieved, we will explain our findings and discuss the available options before proceeding.

No Fix • No Fee

If we cannot complete the agreed repair, you will not be charged for that unsuccessful repair. Separately approved services, data-recovery work, parts or mail-in return shipping may still apply where agreed.

Most Repairs Completed Within 24–48 Hours

Most repairs are completed within 24–48 hours. Complex logic-board faults, liquid damage, parts availability, data recovery or additional testing may require more time. If a repair is expected to take longer, we will keep you informed.

Data Backup, Privacy & Recovery

Any failing computer or storage device can experience data loss. Back up your important files before service whenever possible. We only access data when reasonably necessary for testing, diagnosis or an approved data-recovery service.

Data backup and recovery are best-effort services and successful recovery cannot be guaranteed in every case.

Mail-In Repair Conditions

Do Not Mail an iMac

iMacs are large, heavy and more vulnerable to shipping damage. Contact us to discuss practical options instead.

Send the Complete Mac

Do not send only the logic board unless requested. Testing the complete computer helps us identify whether the fault is on the board or elsewhere and lets us verify the finished repair.

No Charger Needed

Do not send your MacBook charger unless we specifically ask for it. We keep chargers and test equipment for MacBook models.

Keep the Original Apple Box

Do not send the original retail box. Use a sturdy shipping carton with suitable protective packaging.

If a mail-in repair is declined or the device is not repairable and you want it returned, you are responsible for providing a prepaid return label or paying the applicable return-shipping charge.

Collection & Unclaimed Devices

Please collect your Mac or arrange return shipping within 15 days after we notify you that it is ready. After 15 days, reasonable storage charges may apply. Devices unclaimed for more than 30 days after reasonable notice attempts may be handled only as permitted by applicable Alberta law.
